Since 1994, bodo has been running drop-in centres for homeless people in Dortmund and Bochum. The association runs inpatient and outreach care and counselling services for people in need. With the social street magazine, the association publishes a monthly magazine that provides additional income for people in homelessness and poverty.

Unfortunately, Corona and the winter season remove these revenue opportunities, so we specifically chose this period after Christmas to launch our aid.

Many colleagues participated by 13.01.2021 with donations in kind and money in the form of sleeping bags, sleeping mats, underwear, winter clothing, warming gloves and winter boots, thick socks, backpacks, towels and sweets, and a considerable cash donation, which was then doubled by ETABO.

On 19.01.2021 the time had come and we were able to hand everything over to Tanja Walter and Oliver Philipp at bodo!

In addition to the already running projects ELIMU (building an orphanage in Tanzania) and GAiN (collecting and filling haversacks for children in crisis areas), as well as the blood donations made and the typing campaign, this is now the next step towards further initiatives in 2021.

We are very happy about the extensive support from the team of colleagues and the management of ETABO.
