Milestone reached - the buffer storage tanks are in place

After a production period of almost 8 months, the 3 buffer storage tanks were transported from Rain am Lech as a special transport with police escort at night first to Würzburg, then via Cologne to Gelsenkirchen and arrived at our construction site on 16 June 2023.

In perfect weather, the 20.7 metre high containers, each with a capacity of 150 cubic metres, were then erected within 2 shifts and are now shining in the sun.

These were exciting days for everyone involved in the project team, who are proud to have reached this important milestone and happy that this task could be completed without any accidents.

The structural and civil engineering work is also almost complete, many components have already been delivered or are ready for delivery. Prefabrication is underway and the piping and EI&C work on site has also begun. Next, the control valves will be delivered and the hall for the heat exchanger station will be built.

No one will say that the road to this point has been easy, but all challenges have been overcome with the kind support of our client Uniper and all partners involved in the project. We look forward to the continued exciting project execution.
